Volunteer
Volunteers form the core of CRY America. Currently, most of our volunteers are people of Indian origin. Volunteers come from different walks of life - students from various universities, professionals, housewives and people working in various companies. Each contributes in whichever way they can ... a vital contribution to the organization and the situation of children.
Volunteers work among their colleagues, friends and family to create awareness about the situation of underprivileged children and help harness resources (financial and non-financial) to the cause. These are some of the ways volunteers support CRY America:
- Join the CRY America Action Center in their city and take active part in its activities
- Start a CRY America Action Center in their city if it doesn't have one already
- Help organize events or arrange sponsorship for them
- Spread the word about CRY America among friends, colleagues and family
- Get CRY America onto the list of supported/approved charities at their place of work
- Put up CRY America posters and distribute leaflets at offices, clubs, and other public places
- Keep CRY America informed about local events (art exhibitions, concerts, plays) which could provide a platform to create awareness about our work and meet potential donors

Be an Advocate
Advocacy, simply put is to 'amplify voice. At CRY, being a Child Rights advocate means - to amplify the voice of children. Too many millions of India's children are still denied the simple joys of childhood, love, protection and so often life itself. And for any change on a significant scale, it will require each one of us to start thinking of children, not as objects of sympathy, but as citizens with the same rights that we consider our due. You do not require any great mission or vision to stand up for what you think is the right thing to do, say, feel, or share.
We believe all children irrespective of their age, caste, class, and gender must be born and treated equally. Each of them is entitled to their right to a childhood.
We invite you to join us by truly involving and committing yourself in this movement to put children first.
