CRY Georgia Tech, a part of CRY America Inc., presents the Hoops-4-CRY ’07 Basketball Tournament. The event’s purpose is to raise funds and awareness for child rights while creating a fun and competitive tournament with great prizes for the winners! This event is open to everybody (including non-students) age 18 and up.

Basketball Game Description

• 3-on-3, 10-minute game. 5 minutes – 1 minute break – 5 minutes.
• The team with the maximum points at the end wins the game. In case of a tie, the game will go to overtime for an extra 2 minutes. The first team to then make a point wins the game.
• A maximum of 24 teams will be allowed to sign up.
• Both MEN and WOMEN are encouraged to participate.
• This tournament is open to all (students, non-students and corporate teams)
• Corporate Sponsorship Teams only need to register via email to prerna@gatech.edu Please include team name, team members and contact information (email and phone) for team captain.
• Each team needs to have at least 3 players. Teams are allowed up to 2 substitutes, for a maximum of 5 people.
  

Fees:
Team Registration: Number of People * fees per person
$5/person until October 12th [Friday]
$10/person October 13th-20th.

One captain must register the finalized team online. Any later additions to the team roster can ONLY be made by paying $10 per person at the registration table on the day of the tournament.

Food and Music:

• Free barbecue lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips) will be provided on site! A voluntary donation would be greatly appreciated.
• DJ for whole event.

Times:
10 am – Registration
10:30 am – Start Games
1:30 pm – Final Match
2:00 pm – Prize Distribution

Volleyball Game Description

• This game is catered only to corporate sponsorship teams
• Each team can have between 3 and 5 people
• Both MEN and WOMEN are invited to participate
• Each game will be to 25 points rally style
• The winning team will receive a special prize!
• Registration will be via email (prerna@gatech.edu). Please include team name, team members and contact information (email and phone) for team captain.

*NOTE* - In case of inclement weather conditions, the event MAY get pushed to Sunday, October 21st. In this scenario, all participants will be contacted via email, and, to the best of our ability, via phone – but please check your email address (that you supplied at the time of registration) on the night of October 19th to be sure that the event is still on for the 20th. If you have not received any notification about a change in date, then please assume that the event WILL take place on the scheduled date of October 20th.
