FESTIVAL IN THE PARK 2008
It’s summer! Grab your blankets and lawn chairs and join CRY America for an evening of authentic Indian cuisine, free live music, dance performances, and a movie in the park.
As part of our fundraising efforts, CRY America Pittsburgh presents the fourth annual “Festival in the Park” – a festival of Food, Music and Movies. CRY America would like you to be part of this unique event starting at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 22nd, and to join in the festivities with your family and friends.
When: Sunday, June 22nd 2008 4pm onwards
Where: Flagstaff Hill, Schenley Park, Across from Phipps Conservatory in Oakland, Pittsburgh 15213
Why: Funds from the festival will go towards supporting child rights projects of CRY America in India and the US.
CRY America Inc., is a 501c3 non-profit organization that works towards restoring basic rights to underprivileged children in India and the U.S.
Dinner at the festival will consist of a variety of Indian snacks, appetizers and entrees catered by Namaste India of Banksville Road.
This year the festival’s signature live performances will include local artists

Arya Dance Academy
The festival will culminate with the screening of the movie “Shrek 3”, a conclusion to the supremely entertaining adventure of the endearing ogre.
Other activities at the festival will include a henna artist, face painting, a silent auction, Indian jewelry/garment booth, yoga sessions and game booths.
