Background
CRY America at Florida International University (FIU) was founded in August 2004 by eight dedicated committee members and 10 other members to support the cause of the foundation. CRY America at FIU is located in Miami, FL to reach out to the underprivileged children, and to help them realize their full potential. It is our initiative to help in the provision of basic necessities of food, shelter, clothing and education, primarily to children.

Activities in 2004-2005

• Sojourn 2004: Multicultural Extravaganza to generate funds for children


• Various Club Fairs: To cause Awareness among students at FIU


• Presentation at John Ferguson High School on Nanotechnology


• Presentation of Mission of CRY America during Diwali 2004


• Meetings and active discussions every month


• Volunteering with various organizations to involve them in work-force as and when required
