Connecticut Action Center

Background:

The Connecticut Action Center (Conn AC) is committed to the child rights movement with an aim to spread the word on the importance of the rights of children, about CRY America and raise funds and engage people from all walks of life within the state of Connecticut.

The 'Conn AC' started building its volunteer base in September, 2007. After brainstorming and careful planning, the strong core team hosted its first Awareness-cum-Fund raising event on 18th Dec, '07 that was attended by close to 200 people. We generated substantial funds, though the event was mainly used to create a general awareness about how CRY America works toward restoring the basic rights of underprivileged children in India. Seeing the roaring response of people in and around the Hartford area, we are positive that our little Connecticut, " The Land of Steady Habits", will contribute in a BIG way to support our cause.
 
We invite high school volunteers, college students, professionals, retirees, homemakers and others to join hands for a common cause. Please feel free to get in touch with us to find out different ways in which you can "Stand Up For Child Rights" in the true sense.
