Project Impact

CRY has developed exhaustive and well-recognized impact parameters used in Project Review and Planning processes that enables the organization and its grantees to set clearly defined and measurable goals. These impact parameters also enable us to report back to our donors, volunteers and supporters on the tangible change that has been brought about in the lives of children. Over time, as each project grows and achieves stability, the nature and quantum of support provided also evolves.

In almost three decades, our partner CRY India has enabled more than 2500 communities across 18 states in India to work towards addressing the root causes of  deprivation that constrain the rights of children. By mobilizing these communities CRY India along with over 500 NGO partners has ensured that over 1.5 million children across India have opportunities that they could not dream of. None of these micro-miracles would have been possible without the active involvement and support that CRY has received from over 150,000 individual donors and 10,000 institutional donors from within India and overseas.

In just 5 years of its existence CRY America has irreversibly transformed the lives of over 156,000 children living across 1211 rural, tribal and urban communities through the support to 30 Projects. This impact was possible only because of the support that CRY America has received from over 10,000 donors and 500 volunteers, who have given so generously of their time and resources.

The scale of impact that we have been able to accomplish in just 5 years fills us with hope and determination that with increased support we can reach out to many more children. You will be happy to know that 296 villages today have 100% children enrolled in schools, 180 government schools are now functioning where there were none and 315 villages are child labor free today because of your support. Hundreds of underprivileged communities were involved in this process of change.
