Dear ,

CRY America strives to ensure that underprivileged children have a happy, healthy and creative childhood, with your support. Children like Nandini are growing up to be healthy, because CRY America supported Projects like Shramik Vikas Kendra, identified her malnutrition problem at an early age and is ensuring that she receives the needed nutritional supplements and health care at the right time. Help us reach out to many more children like Nandini, by supporting the FULL (Fight Undernourishment Little by Little) Campaign. Click here to visit the campaign microsite.

Our national CRY Walk for Child Rights series is being organized across 15 cities and we hope to see you there! The event comprises of non competitive 5k walks, competitive runs and fun activities for children. To sign up, please click here.

We thank our donors and volunteers for taking the time to visit Projects during their trips to India. Do read what Dheeraj Mehta (CRY Seattle volunteer) has to say about his recent visit to Navsrishti Project.

Thank you for ensuring lasting change in the lives of over 422,878 children living across 2,395 villages and slums in India. We look forward to your continued support in 2013.

With best wishes,

Shefali Sunderlal

Fight Undernourishment Little by Little (FULL) Campaign

CRY America supported Project Shramika Vikasa Kendram (SVK) in Andhra Pradesh, strengthened the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to ensure better child care services and additional food supplies (rations) for children like Nandini who are malnourished and below the normal weight of 37 lbs for their age. Nandini now weighs 24.5lbs and is on her way to being normal weight. It is important that Nandini and children like her receive a continuous supply of nutritional supplements and health care to address the issue of malnutrition.

Your support will help strengthen public health care centers, supplementary nutritional programs, immunization programs and community health awareness programs for children and expecting mothers. “On my recent trip to CRY supported Project Navsrishti Nangloi, I had an opportunity to meet the team and I was amazed by the stories they had to share. One story was about Anuradha, who fought against the police in order to protect a girl from the police. Another story was about how another employee, Ganga challenged the school administration to gain admission for the children. Then there was Najmaji who has been working with locals since 1998 and has saved multiple children from child marriage.

My account of this project visit doesn’t do justice to the dedication and hard work these people have put into upholding basic human rights. So when they told me that CRY has been a great pillar of support for them throughout these years, it made me feel great about the NGO that I volunteer for and believe in.”
