Vol 18. April 2012
10 years of ensuring lasting change for children

Dear CRY America supporter,

Thanks to the generous support of 17,000 donors and 500 volunteers, CRY America has impacted the lives of 411,359 children, empowered 2,254 underprivileged communities and strengthened the work of 56 projects in the past 9 years. Several communities now have functioning schools, children have regular health check ups, families have sustainable livelihoods, villages are child labor free, girls get the same opportunities as their brothers and government agencies implement programs they are mandated to. Take a look at the highlights of CRY America's 9-year journey, here.

As CRY America enters its 10th anniversary, your continued support becomes even more critical. It ensures that we can continue to function independently, support projects that work with the most excluded communities and ensure lasting change in the lives of thousands of vulnerable children.

We start off 2012, with the launch of Campaign 10 and the Stay in School Campaign for Girl Children. We also plan to take the CRY Walk event to 20 cities and the CRY Dinner event to 5 cities this year. We will keep you informed about our activities, progress and supported Projects through newsletters, impact stories and mailers throughout the year.

We go forward into our 10th year with a sense of responsibility and hope. The trust reposed in us over 9 years makes it incumbent on us to ensure that we continue to uphold high standards of accountability and impact. And our hope lies in knowing that together, with your support, we can and will restore to an additional 100,000 children, their hopes and dreams this year!

With best wishes,

Shefali Sunderlal
President, CRY America
