CRY America Pittsburgh Action Center presents 'Festival in the Park 2007'

It’s summer!! Grab your blankets and lawn chairs and join us for an evening of authentic Indian dinner, and free live music, dance performances, and movies in the park.


As part of our annual fundraising efforts, CRY America Pittsburgh Action Center brings to you “Festival in the Park” – a festival of Food, Music and Movies on Sunday July 29th, 2007. Join us in the festivities with your family and friends.


The event will include authentic Indian cuisine consisting of a variety of Indian snacks, appetizers and entrees catered by Orchid Restaurant, Oakland, and Namaste India of Banksville Road.
This year the festival’s signature live performances will include local artists Jim Dispirito, Shankar Krish-Ajit, Chai Baba, Rockers with New Moves, Nandanik Dance Academy & Putt Punjab De. The festival will culminate with the screening of the movie “Little Buddha” starring Keanu Reeves and Bridget Fonda.
Other activities at the festival will include a henna artist, caricature artist, a silent auction, and Indian jewelry and garment vendors.

Where: Flagstaff Hill, Schenley Park, Across from Phipps Conservatory in Oakland, Pittsburgh 15213
Why: Funds from the festival will go towards supporting child rights projects of CRY America in India and the US.
