CRY Holi 2018 Events


Thank you for celebrating CRY Holi and adding color to the lives of children!

This year’s CRY Holi saw celebrations in several cities and raised nearly $70,000 towards creating happier childhoods. Learn more about each event in the following cities:

CRY Holi @ San Antonio

CRY San Antonio organized its first Holi on February 18th and it was a huge success! With 130 participants and $4,720 in revenues, the event spread a lot of cheer around with activities like Knocker Ball, kid's games, veggie printing and T-shirt painting, D-I-Y crafts, CRY Champion Wall & Photo Booth, playing with colors, and yummy snacks from our food vendors. Sudha Sundaram, the San Antonio AC Lead, spearheaded an amazing effort to put together a successful Holi event for the community! A huge thank you to her and the San Antonio volunteers who did a wonderful job!

CRY Holi @ Seattle

With a beautiful sunny day on March 3rd and over 2200 people, the Seattle Action Center once again pulled off an amazing Holi. The team was able to raise about $25,000 in revenue! The day was filled with lots of excitement as the DJ music continued for hours. People of all ages came together to celebrate a colorful event with lots of dancing, fun, games, and food. Thank you to the Seattle volunteers for putting in such good energy and effort and making this event so great!

CRY Holi @ San Diego

The San Diego Action Center organized an amazing Holi this year on March 3rd! With an amazing turnout and skies that cleared up after a morning rain, the crowd of 2,500 people had a fun time with colors, dancing, and food! The team was able to raise over $29,000 in revenue! The successful event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our awesome volunteers! Thank you to Bharath, Eshaani, Sachin, Samyuktha, Nanditha, Neelam, Shibani, Santhosh, Vaidehi, Soumya, Pallavi, Madhu, Malati, Kanu, Sraavan, Syed, Ali, Karishma, Supreeta, Jay, Krupa, Neha, Dhwani, Siya, Ruchika, Saurabh, Jeyakumar, Akanksha, Apoorva, Mona, Nitin, Shilpa, Anar, Anupam, and many more!

CRY Holi @ Orange County

A big thank you to our amazing Orange County team for a very successful and fun Holi on March 4th! With the beautiful sun shining down on the beach, everyone enjoyed a great day full of good food, music, family, friends, and color! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for making this a great event and raising over $4,000! The crowd of 500 people truly enjoyed the CRY Holi event and danced the day away!

CRY Holi @ Atlanta

Congratulations to our CRY Atlanta Action Center for celebrating its 4th Holi event with 350 people on March 17th! The fun of colors, dancing, food, auctions, and raffle games were a great success despite some rain. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers for raising $7,000! A huge shout out to Mehak Jain for raising the highest amount of $2,525 in the volunteers’ fundraising teams! Thank you to our amazing volunteers Ria Puri, Mehak Jain, Shashank Ganeshan, Yashri Parikh, Tejas Miripathi, Aayush Shah, Sanjeev Kumar, Aazan Khan, Siya Patel, Vishal Jain, Anurag Jain, Priti Jain, Reema Ajmera, Anand Jain, Pritish Jain and Ekta Jain for a successful event!

CRY Holi @ Austin

Austin's first CRY Holi and Kite event on March 17th was filled with fun, love, laughter, games and lots of dancing along with kites and colors. A beautiful day with family and friends became a great opportunity to spread awareness about CRY America among the 250 attendees. We appreciate the efforts of all of our wonderful volunteers, Vijaya, Alka Tripathi, Ganesh, Sudha Valli, Raj Kasula, Prasanna Kumar, Swati Sarda, Akanksha Gulati, Ashwitha Putti, and Raga Mayee Chandra.
