WELCOME TO NEW YORK ACTION CENTER
CRY America works towards restoring to underprivileged children, especially Indian, their basic rights to survival, protection, development and participation.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead "CRY New York has been working towards raising funds and raising friends for child rights in the New York City area. It is driven by volunteers, coming from various professional and cultural backgrounds, with a common goal of channelizing resources towards bringing a lasting change in the lives of thousands of underprivileged children in India and the US.
The action center organizes a Walk and a popular and successful Cricket tournament amongst other events, to generate funds and awareness for Child Rights. The center works with a very flexible volunteering model wherein even the most occupied professional can contribute his/her spare time in one way or another.
The action center considers itself a nodal point through which individuals can be a part of the larger and impactful change to nourish the lives of thousands of underprivileged children and bring them at par with the rest of the society, for good."

"Volunteering for CRY is not just about impacting the lives of the underprivileged, it changes your life as well - you become more aware of yourself, grateful for all you have and content knowing you made a difference in the world."
CRY New York AC Leader
"It's difficult as individuals to impact the lives of the underprivileged, with a lasting change. CRY gives us access to one such reliable and established channel to translate our spare time to funds and friends for them, not just for a one-off aid but for overall upliftment, to change their lives for good."
CRY NY Core Team Member
"To me CRY is togetherness, friendships and passion for an honorable cause, changing the lives of many well deserving innocent children for the better."
