Option 1: Enable Education and Healthcare for a year
CRY America has consistently focused on education and health care of children. Here's how you can support a child's education and health care for a year. All it takes is $18 to support a child's education for a year and an additional $7 will also provide for their health care.
Option 2: Ensure healthcare for all children in a village! Support a health worker for a year.
Health workers act as a link between the government health department and the community by helping the latter, especially the children, avail of health facilities provided by the government. Their main role is to raise awareness about basic health care and health-related issues. They help organize immunization, other medical camps and follow-ups for them, infant mortality surveys and with teachers, monitor the growth of children. To help them with their work, they are provided with regular training and support in terms of medical supplies and equipment. You can sponsor a health worker for a year.
Option 3: Educate an entire class! Support a teacher for a year.
Teachers are a vital component of the non-formal education (NFE) network. They interact with both the children and the communities to which they belong. Under CRY America-supported initiatives, teachers are given regular training on teaching methodology and education content, so that they can make learning a fun, involving and relevant process for the children. They are also trained to act as links between projects and the communities, by educating the parents about their children's rights and ensuring that they enroll their children in schools. You can sponsor a teacher's education and training for a year by contributing US $ 250.
