CRY America is a 501c3 non-profit organization driven by its vision of a just world in which all children have equal opportunities to develop to their full potential and realize their dreams. Our work in restoring the rights of underprivileged children ranges from making public schools function better, ensuring health care becomes a reality, helping families sustain livelihoods, addressing the issue of child labor, preventing child marriage and giving girls equal opportunities.

Over the past 12 years, with the support of over 20,000 donors and 2,000 volunteers, CRY America has impacted the lives of over 600,000 underprivileged children living across 2,726 villages and slums through support to 70 Projects in India and the USA.

VOLUNTEER ACTION MANAGER

1. Location: SFO Bay Area, San Diego, Los Angeles

2. Role & Responsibilities: :

i.Revenue Growth: Ensure significant revenue growth for the Volunteer Action function by leading the CRY Walk national series, building CRY Holi and CRY Cricket as national events & helping Action Centers grow their events.

ii. Volunteer Retention: Increased retention & motivation of existing volunteers through timely administrative, website, IT, accounting, communication materials, social media & media outreach support. Strengthening Action Centers & supporting Action Center co-ordination at the national level.

iii. Volunteer Acquisition: Significantly increase the volunteer base across existing Action Centers & formation of new Action Centers through proactive volunteer acquisition & onboarding efforts. Representing CRY America at relevant networks & community events and building of new partnerships.

3. Qualifications, Skill Sets & Person Profile Preferred::

i. Undergraduate or Masters degree (preferably a major in business administration, marketing & sales or social work) with 3 to 5 years of experience.

ii. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and social media; Good communication and public speaking skills.

iii. Good organizational skills & results oriented, with ability to work independently in remote settings.

iv. Enjoys working with large numbers of people (primarily 18 to 30 age group).

v. Flexible with extensive travel within the US, especially in CA (drive, fly).

vi. Has an interest in the cause of underprivileged children and in working with volunteers of Indian origin.

vii. Should be authorized to work in the United States.

4. What's in it for You: :

5. Salary & Benefits: :

i. Salary range: $40,000 to $48,000 per annum, based on qualifications & experience.

ii. Health insurance: upto a max of $6000 per year.

iii. Vacation: 20 business days for 12 months worked.

ACCOUNTANT

1. Location: Braintree, MA.

2. Role & Responsibilities: :

i. Full time position

ii. General accounting and recordkeeping

iii. Recording of all transactions in the general ledger

v. Banking – Donation processing

vi. Payment of approved vendor invoices

vii. Payroll processing

viii. Reconciliations and account analysis

ix. Internal Financial Reporting

x. Annual financial audit coordination and preparation of supporting information

xi. Accumulation of information for annual federal filings

xii. Maintain compliance records and accumulation of information for state registrations and filings

xiii. Corporate Matching Gifts

xiv. Accounts and Back Office Co-ordination

xv. Query handling on accounts – from CRY America staff, volunteers, donors

3. Qualifications, Skill Sets & Person Profile Preferred::

i. BA or BS in Business Administration or Accounting with 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.

ii. Proficiency with Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

iii. Non Profit accounting experience a plus.

iv. Excellent organizational skills, results oriented, diligent, ability to work independently.

v. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

5. Salary & Benefits: :

i. Salary range: $36,000 to $42,000 per annum, based on qualifications & experience.
