The summers of my childhood were often spent in India, and as an Indian-American these summers were a very influential part of my life. Personally witnessing children my own age swarming around me begging for money and living in intolerable conditions...and then returning back to the US and the safety of my own home... frequently left me confused and asking myself: 'WHY?' . After each visit, I remained hopeful and knew in my heart that I would come back to this raw beauty and immense poverty as someone who could help. This experience has now become the driving force behind each action I take, professionally and personally.
With your support - underprivileged communities will be empowered and many children will get an opportunity to learn, laugh, play and enjoy their childhood...just like we did.
