Hi! I'm Adam MacGregor and I've had the privilege of working with CRY America since the Pittsburgh Action Center started in 2003. On a subsequent couple of trips to India, I've seen firsthand CRY America's interventions on behalf of needy children. It's been amazing and inspiring to see the newfound empowerment of the marginalized communities with whom CRY America works, as well as the dedication of the NGO partners that we support with our US fundraising.
And it's especially remarkable to see the change right before your eyes - as in the case of the children of the 'Ek Saath' childrens' group in Kamarhati, West Bengal (pictured with with me here). With the help of the CRY America-supported NGO SPAN, they've started their own magazine to educate other children and parents about the importance of education and the ills of child labor in the slum neighborhood where they live. I never met a more confident and hopeful group of children.
Please join CRY America in continuing the great progress toward better opportunity for children across India and the U.S. by sponsoring me in our October 4 walk event. And if you can, join us on the trail!
