On October 20, 2013, I will join hundreds of walkers on a 5K walk event at Lost Creek Park, Sugarland, an event organized by CRY America to raise money for children fighting for their basic rights.

CRY - Child Rights and You, America  is driven by its vision of a just world in which all children have equal opportunities to develop to their full potential and realize their dreams. Through CRY America, we have been able to make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of underprivileged children in our community. I have long been a supporter of CRY America, because of the significant contributions this group makes to children’s lives on an ongoing basis. What really set us apart from other not-for-profit organizations is our impeccable standards of accountability and transparency, and our highly effective planning, monitoring and evaluation systems that are applied to each of the projects that we fund.

CRY America has impacted 411,359 children living across 2,354 urban, rural and tribal communities in India and the USA in the last 10 years. To find out more about CRY America’s milestones please visit the following website,

Nearly 80% of your contribution goes directly to help the children. CRY America strives to provide donors with accountability and transparency in measuring the impact their contributions make each year. Please visit the following website for detailed annual reports,

Our work is only possible with the assistance of generous donations from members of the community. Without donations from supporters such as yourself, the people who benefited from CRY America's services last year would have been left to face their challenges all alone. It is our belief that every child, regardless of gender, class, caste, faith, color, race, ethnicity, physical ability or mental capacity, deserves the support that we are ready and willing to give.

Won't you help us help children in need? Your financial support can help us make a lasting difference on children’s rights. Your donation can make an immediate impact on a child’s life. Every dollar you send can help bring equality and dignity to the lives of children. We look forward to receiving your generous donation.

I would like to thank you for sparing your valuable time and would be grateful if you consider our request to join us in our fundraising efforts. Please join us for CRY Walk in Houston or one of the other 16 cities where the event is being organized.
