Hi,
I would like you guys to help me reach my goal of raising atleast 900$ for this walk. I know all of you feel empathy for kids that have to struggle for their basic needs and we can take a small step in helping them by contributing a little to this event.
Here are some statistics
10,000 children die every single day in India. More than in any tsunami, flood, earthquake, famine or war. Reports released reveal that:
46% of children in India are underweight
53% children in India reported having faced one or more forms of sexual abuse
17 million child laborers in India
180 out of 581 districts in India have seen primary school enrolments fall
88,000 schools (nearly 8%) in India still do not have a blackboard in their classes
These statistics are shocking. The reality is that millions of children have their very survival threatened on a daily basis- malnutrition, illiteracy, child labor, preventable diseases, abuse and exploitation.
Our Annual CRY Walk for Child Rights event is being organized across multiple cities, bringing hundreds of individuals together with the belief that 'Change is possible, because we will make it possible'. Let's all come together and work towards the day when all children will have their rights to live, learn, grow and play!
With your help, we can create long-lasting change for these children. You can either donate for or attend this Walk for Child Rights and support this very deserving cause.
No amount is small and can go a long way in helping a child.
yours sincerely
Ram
