Hello, my name is Miana Lew and I am a student volunteer CRY.
CRY raises money for impoverished children in India so they can receive an education, healthcare, and even something as simple as bite to eat. We take these kinds of things for granted every day, and we need to be reminded that in other parts of the world, people are not so lucky. By empowering these children, they will be able to get a respectable job when they grow older and escape the shackles of poverty.
Right now, there are kids working 20 hours a day for a wage that can't even buy them a day's worth of food. Girls are unable to attend school just because they are female. Child marriages deprive kids of what is supposed to be an enjoyable childhood. Kids are supposed to live carefree since they are young, but how can they when all they worry about is how long it will be until their next meal?
The deplorable state of these children in India is horrifying and needs to change. With your help, we can create long-lasting change for these children. Attend the CRY New Jersey 2013 Walk for Child Rights and support this deserving cause.
You can donate, register for the walk, or create a team by clicking the links to the left.
Thank you for helping brighten a child's future!
