Boston CRY Walk 2009
Walk or Run a few miles on Revere Beach Boulevard and create a lasting change in the lives of underprivileged children, thousands of miles away, in India.
CRY America - Boston Chapter is pleased to organize its annual fundraising event - Walk for Child Rights 2009. By joining us in this 3.1 miles (5K) walk/run, we can support millions of marginalized children who are deprived of their basic human rights - to food, water, shelter, healthcare and education. Come and join us to be a part of the movement that can make difference in a child's life. You can support our cause by various ways - register for the event, donate, become a fundraiser, help with the event sponsorship or become a team captain!
All participants receive a certificate, an attractive free T-shirt and refreshments. Team captain who registers in teams of 10 or more will also get their team's logo on the T-shirts.
- 5K Walk starting at 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30 AM
- Onsite registration and information pick-up from 10:00 AM onwards
- Attractive T-shirts and certificates for all participants
- Henna paiting and Clown show
- Variety of snacks and refreshing drinks
- A nice day-outing at Revere Beach
Walk Registration Fees: Adults - $15, Students - $10, Couples - $25, Family of 4 - $45, Kids 12 and under - free with participating adult. Team captains can register at a rate of $100 for a team of 10 people.
Becoming a Walk Fundraiser is just a click away. You can create your own fundraising page by clicking on the badge on the top right hand corner. You can customize the page with your personal message and email it out to your friends, family and colleagues and request them to contribute on your fundraising page. The resources raised through CRY walk 2009 will be utilized to partner child development projects in India and the US.
Kids are an integral part of this event and we encourage parents to participate with families.
About CRY Walk 2009: Boston Chapter's CRY Walk for Child Rights is in its eighth year and is being organized across 15 cities this year. This is one of our national efforts to bring together people form all walk of life to be a part of the movement to ensure that underpriviliged children attain their rights to a healthy childhood.
